Peach sapphire Jhumki earrings, handmade recycled fine silver and Edison freshwater pearl bell earrings-OOAK Firebird
Red and peach sapphire gems drip from recycled fine silver Jhumki style bell earrings. Peaking out from under the sapphires are super lustrous peach Edison freshwater pearls. The bells feature a mehndi mandala pattern that are dropped from the peacock or firebird links. I made these post earrings and they have a rubber stopper as a push back. The gemstones are wrapped on sterling silver ball end head pins.
The posts are sterling silver.
These earrings measure 41 mm or 1 5/8 inches long by 19 mm wide.
A note on precious metal clay:
ArtClay silver is a recycled product that consists of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder. The clay can be worked like other forms of clay, sculpted to almost any shape you desire. The product is then fired at an extremely high temperature, either by kiln or torch. The binder burns away resulting in a pure silver (.999) piece. The silver is reclaimed from such sources as 35mm film and medical and industrial leftovers. No strip mining necessary.
