Silver hydrangea leaf earrings with tanzanite, handmade eco friendly fine silver jewelry-OOAK

Bright shiny silver Hydrangea leaves topped with sparkling lavender tanzanite and a carved vesuvianite leaf. I picked the Hydrangea leaves in early spring to get them in this mini size. I chose the lovely tanzanite to mimic the color of the hydrangea.
Made by painting 10 to 15 layers of silver paste to the back side of the leaves, then they are fired in a kiln, the leaf burns away, leaving a pure silver leaf.
The gemstones are on handmade headpins some with balled up beads and some with my signature spirals. This is an Envy Designs Jewelry signature design. Always one of a kind and in every color of gemstone!

A note on precious metal clay:
ArtClay silver is a recycled product that consists of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder. The clay can be worked like other forms of clay, sculpted to almost any shape you desire. The product is then fired at an extremely high temperature, either by kiln or torch. The binder burns away resulting in a pure silver (.999) piece. The silver is reclaimed from such sources as 35mm film and medical and industrial leftovers. No strip mining necessary.
