Sunset sapphire necklace with a recycled fine silver Lotus pendant, handmade gemstone jewelry-OOAK September birthstone

A mehndi stylized lotus flower pendant hung from a handmade sunset color sapphire studded chain. The recycled fine silver pendant is set with 3 Songea sapphires and a single alexandrite faceted pear. For the chain I chose purple sapphire briolettes and sapphires that move from a deep red orange, peach orange to yellow sapphires. A true beauty with rare color sapphires.
Wrapped with oxidized sterling silver wire.
I gave the pendant an antique patina also, then buffed it to bring out the highlights.
I finished the 18 inch necklace with a swan hook clasp and a 1 inch extender. There a few more sapphires hanging from the end of the chain. The pendant measures 39mm x 37mm with 3mm sapphires and a 5mm x 3mm lab grown alexandrite.
I gave the back of the pendant a stippled texture and it is signed with my logo.

A note on precious metal clay:
ArtClay silver is a recycled product that consists of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder. The clay can be worked like other forms of clay, sculpted to almost any shape you desire. The product is then fired at an extremely high temperature, either by kiln or torch. The binder burns away resulting in a pure silver (.999) piece. The silver is reclaimed from such sources as 35mm film and medical and industrial leftovers. No strip mining necessary.
